Whyte and Mackay were the recipients of two awards and two commendations at the World Whiskies and Icons of Whisky Awards at the Balmoral in Edinburgh, hosted by Whisky Magazine.
Gregg Glass, our Master Whisky Maker, received the prestigious award for Master Blender of the Year, a well-deserved award for a true pioneer. Gregg’s work on the innovative Scottish Oak Programme, alongside many other exciting whisky-making initiatives over the past year were fundamental to this achievement.
Whyte and Mackay also took home the World Whisky Award for Grain Whisky, 21 years and older, for Invergordon Grain, an exciting new product that we’ll be launching next year.
In addition to these two wins, the team at Whyte and Mackay also received two commendations.
Firstly, Kieran Healey-Ryder was highly commended in the Scotch Ambassador of the Year category for his work across the whisky industry and beyond. Kieran’s commitment and passion shone through, showcasing his position as a key figure in both the wider Whisky Industry, and at Whyte and Mackay.
Finally, Whyte and Mackay were delighted to receive a prestigious highly commended accolade in the Icons of Whisky Distiller of the Year category; the perfect way to round off an exciting year at Whyte and Mackay.
Thank you and congratulations to Gregg, Kieran, and our entire Whyte and Mackay community!
